    Change.

    Change.

The Universe is a constant source of delightful surprises.

Isn’t change interesting? It is the one sure thing in life and yet something we are so often uncomfortable with.

Truth is that change is easier to talk about than it is to do. Execution is vital, and willingness is crucial.

All human beings are afraid. We all feel insecure and afraid and think no one else does. Therefore we spend so much time trying to be perfect, and living up to supposedly perfect standards, often compounded by standards portrayed in magazines and movies. If we all try and pretend that we are OK then we miss out on connecting with people. Start by admitting to people when all is not well in your world or that you do need some support. We then give others permission to do the same, and we become more open and approachable.

What we resist persists, so when we resist a change, we make matters worse. We kick and scream to avoid the pain, but as we accept, allow and embrace change life becomes easier, more joyous. Take meditation as an example. Often when one first tries to meditate, you sit there, eyes closed, trying to focus, trying not to think too much, and isn’t that a challenge? Next thing you know, you start to feel this yearning to get up, every part of you wants to jump up and get noisy, get busy again. Anything, to avoid the discomfort. But, as you practice more and more it becomes easier and easier, until before you know it you are enjoying it and looking forward to it.

Continuity gives us roots; change gives us branches, letting us stretch and grow and reach new heights.

Change is welcoming when we are going through a difficult time in our lives. During difficult, stressful times and unwanted circumstances, I personally experience great relief as I quietly repeat to myself that ‘this too shall pass’. Nothing stays the same forever. I spend less time avoiding change these days. That is not to say it is always fun or comfortable, however, I now believe it is better to be uncomfortable for a short while than uncomfortable for a long while.

Our only security is our ability to change.

Our soul is the river of energy that animates who we are. When you do something from your soul you feel the energy inside like a river moving in you. If you follow that river of energy it means you might have to make a change. Follow it come what may. Sometimes you have to make very hard choices and big changes to follow that river of energy. If you are afraid of change you will stay safe but closed to life. If you trust – you may get your heart broken, but you will fully live. When you make a tough decision then let whatever is happening happen. Don’t fight it, don’t judge it. You can float on your back in the river or you can swim as hard as you can in the other direction. You can save yourself a lot of grief and a lot of time by floating on your back in the river and, even if it is a harsh way to get there, you will end up where you need to be.

Spirituality is having faith in what is happening to you, knowing life will give you exactly the experience you need for your evolvement.

Change, when it is lived as a spiritual process, portends spiritual transformation. All levels of change, no matter how slight or how deeply penetrating or disruptive, has something to show us about our belief in the wisdom of the greater plan – the unseen hand that guides us through our daily lives. Change wakes us up to life as the spiritual process that it is. Change is upsetting because the unknown has no discernible texture, no familiar faces, and no assurance of success. When you are unable to ascertain what is coming into your life through the midst of change, it is easy and natural to be afraid. When you feel frightened by life, it helps to understand that you are choosing between a belief in a loving, divine providence and the randomness of chance happening. Whatever comes to you can be a significant opportunity for spiritual growth, whether it was intended as that or not. Your larger life goal is to grow in grace and to find union with the divine Presence through love.

Your spirit is tireless in it’s loving support and prodding of your life in order to help you to move out of the way so you can find the love you seek. Your heart or inner mind urges you to give, share, cooperate, love, value and honour other living things because these are the qualities offered by a loving heart and an awakened spirit. When you are afraid that accepting the present changes in your life will bring you greater pain, fear, loss, or poverty, consider that the opposite is more likely true. Consider that to avoid accepting change and learning from it will produce these undesirable outcomes.

Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life

In my work as a Hypnotherapist I witness the positive changes in people’s lives on a daily basis – often in an extraordinary way. We are not always able to control the outside events in our lives; however, we always have control over the way we perceive them, the thoughts we think about them and about the way in which we respond. This awareness brings about true personal power. Choose your attitude. It is the last of the great human freedoms – You get to choose how to react to what is happening in your life everyday. Ask for strength, vision and grace as YOU BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD.

Hypnosis and EFT are wonderful modalities to assist with positive change. For those of you who don’t already know, hypnosis is a safe, effective and natural alternative method to effectively assist in changing a habit or behaviour, but first you must make a commitment to change, and to accept responsibility for your own motivation to make the necessary changes.

Life is not pausing for you while you are putting up with something that you dislike. There’s no rewind button, there’s only now, and if you’re not happy with your now, Change it!

Practice being happy and be kind to the most important person in the world – YOU! Always in loving kindness & grace, Rayeleen x
